Challenging Behaviour Awareness Certification

This course aims to address the frustrating issues of challenging behaviour in the care situation. Many carers are professional, well-trained and competent to offer physical care to their patients or those in their care, but they may struggle to deal professionally and unemotionally with people who are displaying difficult, disruptive or aggressive behaviour.

This course will help you understand why people behave in a disruptive and challenging manner and the techniques you can use to analyse their behaviour. You will gain an understanding of the mechanisms that can be used to mitigate and deescalate negative behaviours and how to replace them with more positive behaviours. This will lead to improved happiness and well-being of both the individual and the caregiver.
